Professional Experience and Accomplishments
1. Career Overview: Could you provide an overview of your career, including the industries you've worked in and your primary roles?
Began my working career in branch banking before being promoted to Business Banking roles for small to medium businesses with debt levels from $500K to $5M.
I was the Regional Credit Manager for Trust Bank Southand with a portfolio of over $150M to oversee and manage the credit quality.
Finally in baking was a Senior Manager in Commercial Banking for Westpac with a portfolio of $40M in Lending and close on $100M in Investments.
After various restructures, I chose to leave Banking and worked for a Finance Company – growing a portfolio to $7M in lending.
After a total of 20 years in Banking and Finance, I decided I wanted a new challenge and set up a BD Unit with a local Accounting firm growing it to a portfolio of 20 key clients before leaving to set up my own Business Development Partnership with a franchised Business Coaching business which in the first 15 months sold over $300K of Coaching services peaking at 25 clients that I coached 1-1.
At its peak there were 5 business units I was managing ranging from Accounting, Business Coaching, H&S Coaching, social media and a Business networking operation.
Finally, I went out on my own and formed my own business, iKULUTU.com with peak of 20 1-1 Coaching Clients with an average retention term of 3+ years, 25%+ Annual Growth
2. Major Achievements: What are some significant achievements in your career? Please include any quantifiable accomplishments, like revenue generated, costs saved, or percentages of improvement.

All clients in their first 12 months achieve rates of growth exceeding 20% and cashflow/profit viability.
3. Professional Growth: Can you describe any significant turning points or advancements in your career?
Moving from retail banking to business banking in senior roles enabled me to understand the real issues for small to medium business owners in managing their financial position.
Leaving Banking and being trained as a business coach to directly influence business owners to achieve profitable growth.
Forming my own business to experience the realities of running and owning my own business.
4. Education and Certifications: What is your educational background, and do you hold any certifications or accreditations relevant to your field?
Graduated from High School, spent 20 years in retail & commercial banking and trained on business finance & funding.
Trained and certified by 3 major Business & Mindset Coaching organisations in coaching and all the skills associated.
Relevance to Prospective Clients
5. Client Impact: How have your skills and experience positively impacted your clients or your business? Please include specific examples and metrics, if possible.
I have a hugely diverse range of professional skills and my banking, finance and coaching experience working with SME’s for 40 years.
I have an excellent skill in explaining the client's financial position to them and the barrier to their success is quickly assessed for their understanding e.g. One client has grown from $1.2M to $7M in revenue in 6-7 years. Another health firm has grown from $200K to $2M in 6 years.
6. Unique Value: What unique value do you bring to your clients? How do your accomplishments align with the potential needs and goals of your clients?
Clients quickly realise they have a Coach who has ‘seen it all’ in family-owned business operations. They have the confidence to know their financial and strategic direction is being overseen for them and they follow advice and strive to be the best they can be in their chosen profession, they have a mentor and consultant who stands by his advice. And it all starts with knowing their numbers.
7. Family and Personal Life: Would you like to share any aspects of your family or personal life that you feel contribute to who you are professionally?
I see that a business owned by a family can only be successful if the personal goals of the family are embodied in the Vision for the Business. A Business is a tool that is either built or bought to fund those goals. Relationships break up due to lack of money over love x 100.
So Business coaching is more about aligning their personal and business values to meaningful goals and action steps.
Finally, everything in business relies on the business owners' personal lives being as much as possible in balance.
8. Overcoming Adversity: Have you faced and overcome any significant challenges or adversities in your life that have shaped your character or work ethic?
Having a failed business partnership that collapsed due to that partner's ill health and addiction resulted in substantial harm and relied on immense personal belief to rebuild what had been created and regain my own professional integrity.
9. Morals and Ethics: What are the core morals and ethics that guide you in your professional life?
You only have your personal reputation and you must protect it at all costs as its your biggest asset.
Its not about you but about the client so you must adopt their perspective on the issue before you can coach them to success.
A coaching client must receive the best customer service in the market as the outcomes we generate are largely invisible so service is the lifeblood to giving them the confidence they are working with people who care as they navigate their way to their goals.
A business never outperforms its Leader so a business is a reflection of its owner.
